The film premiered at the 38th Max Ophüls Award film festival and in late 2017, also competed in the 25th CAMERIMAGE film festival, the world’s largest film festival for cinematographers. In October 2016, I successfully completed the master’s program “Camera” at the renowned Hamburg Media School with my final year project which was the fiction film WE TAKE YOU. In autumn 2008, I began a bachelor‘s and master’s degree with a focus on ✼inematography« in Berlin, Zurich and Hamburg. I am fascinated by the proximity to a person or an action in every moment being – and to be able to capture this situation with the camera without letting go. It quickly dawned on me that I was particularly interested in people and social issues. There I accompanied the drug addicts of this social facility with my camera. I had my first contact working with cameras during my civilian service at the drug rehabilitation center in Cologne. I was born in 1986 and grew up in Cologne and the Eifel. I am interested in solutions for sophisticated visualization through lighting design, cadrage or camera movement. Nothing happens accidently, the actors set the initial direction.

As a Cinematographer, I create a visual world for the protagonists and their emotions.
